1. About this notice
This notice explains the data practices of Smart Storage Cleaner, an Android application published by Yani Technologies Inc. It supplements our general Privacy Policy. If the two policies differ, this application-specific notice applies to Smart Storage Cleaner.
2. Storage access and file analysis
Smart Storage Cleaner helps users understand device storage usage and review large or unnecessary files. To provide these features, the application may request access to files or media through Android permissions and system interfaces. The application uses this access to display storage information and let the user choose what to review or remove.
File contents, file names, thumbnails and scan results are processed locally and are not uploaded to Yani Technologies Inc. Deletion occurs on the device only after a user action or confirmation. Users should review selections carefully because files removed from the device may not be recoverable.
3. Information stored on the device
Storage scan results, cleanup selections, preferences and related application state remain on the device. Smart Storage Cleaner does not require a Yani Technologies account and does not operate a cloud storage service for user files. Local information generally remains until the application data is cleared or the application is uninstalled, subject to Android backup settings.
4. Technical information sent off the device
The application’s Google SDKs may transmit limited technical information needed for advertising, analytics, reliability and fraud prevention. Depending on settings and consent, this may include the application version, device model, operating-system version, language, approximate region inferred from an IP address, app-instance or installation identifiers, feature events, advertising interactions and crash diagnostics.
Smart Storage Cleaner does not use these SDKs to upload the contents of the files examined by the cleanup features.
5. Advertising and AD_ID
Smart Storage Cleaner may display ads through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or share IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention.
The application may declare the Android advertising ID permission (AD_ID) where permitted. Depending on consent, region and device settings, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized. Users can reset or delete the advertising ID and change ad-personalization settings in Android. See Google’s Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure.
6. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
Google Analytics for Firebase may record events such as first launch, sessions, screens viewed and feature interactions. We use aggregated reports to understand application usage and improve the experience.
Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash traces, relevant application state, device metadata, application version, crash time, Crashlytics installation UUID and Firebase installation ID. This information helps diagnose crashes, non-fatal errors and application-not-responding events. We do not intentionally attach file names, file contents, passwords or other sensitive user content to these reports. See the Firebase Android data disclosure.
7. Google Play and purchases
Google Play processes information related to application downloads, updates, device integrity and distribution under the Google Privacy Policy. If Smart Storage Cleaner offers a paid feature or subscription, Google Play Billing processes the payment. Yani Technologies Inc. may receive the product purchased, transaction identifier and purchase status, but does not receive the user’s complete payment-card number.
8. Information we do not collect directly
Smart Storage Cleaner does not require the user’s name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, microphone or camera. We do not sell personal information. If a user contacts support by email, we receive the email address and message solely to respond to the request and maintain necessary support records.
9. Children
Smart Storage Cleaner is a general-audience utility and is not designed for children under 13; it does not contain child-directed content. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information through a support request may contact us to request its deletion.
10. Retention and user controls
Information stored locally remains until the user clears the application data or uninstalls the application. Google currently states that Crashlytics keeps crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal; standard Google Analytics properties allow user-level and event-level retention settings of 2 or 14 months; and AdMob currently retains User Activity reports for 90 days and certain advertising reports for up to 2,555 days. Google’s current documentation governs its retention practices.
Users can manage storage permissions, notifications and other application permissions in Android; change advertising consent where offered; reset or delete the advertising ID; clear local application data; or uninstall the application. Privacy requests may be sent to the address below.
