1. About this notice
This notice explains the data practices of Data Analyst Interview Lab, package com.yahyani.dataanalystinterviewlab, an Android application published by Yani Technologies Inc. It supplements our general Privacy Policy. If the two policies differ, this application-specific notice applies to Data Analyst Interview Lab.
2. On-device interview practice
The application’s exercises and answer explanations are bundled in the application source and loaded locally. Answer evaluation, daily challenge selection and readiness calculations take place on the device. The application does not use a Yani Technologies account, application server or remote AI service.
Selected answers, correctness results, attempts, scores and readiness calculations are held only in the active application session. In the current version, they are not written to persistent storage and are cleared when the application process ends.
3. Information stored on the device
Data Analyst Interview Lab stores the analyst role selected during onboarding in Android DataStore so the choice can be restored. It also stores, in private Android preferences, the date when the application was last opened and whether the notification permission was already requested. These values are used only for onboarding and the daily reminder.
The selected-role DataStore is configured for Android cloud backup and device transfer. Whether a backup occurs depends on Android and the user’s device and Google account settings. Yani Technologies Inc. does not receive or control that Android backup.
4. Notification permission
After onboarding, the application may request Android’s POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission. Android WorkManager schedules a local daily practice reminder around 8:00 p.m. The application checks the locally stored last-open date and does not send that reminder when the application was opened the same day. The reminder does not use a remote push-notification service or network connection.
Users can allow or refuse the permission and can disable notifications later in Android settings.
5. Network access and external data transfers
The application uses an Internet connection for Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Google Play Billing. These services may receive the limited technical information described below. The interview content and scoring engine still operate locally, and the application does not use a Yani Technologies account or application backend to synchronize the selected role, answers, detailed scores, attempts, readiness or reminder dates.
6. Advertising and AD_ID
Data Analyst Interview Lab displays advertising through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or share an IP address, product interactions, diagnostic information and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention.
The application declares the Android advertising identifier permission (AD_ID). Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform presents consent and privacy options before ads are requested. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized according to consent, region and device settings. Users can reset or delete the advertising identifier in Android. See Google’s Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure.
7. Firebase, analytics and crash reporting
Google Analytics for Firebase records information such as first launch, sessions, screens viewed and general feature interactions, together with application, device, operating-system, language, approximate-region and installation information made available by the SDK. We use aggregated reports to understand adoption and improve the application. We do not intentionally attach selected answers, correctness results, detailed scores or the selected role to analytics events.
Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash traces, relevant application state, device metadata, application version, crash time and installation identifiers to diagnose crashes, non-fatal errors and application-not-responding events. We do not intentionally attach answers or other private learning content to crash reports. See the Firebase Android data disclosure.
8. Google Play and payments
Google Play processes information needed for store distribution, downloads and updates under the Google Privacy Policy. Google Play Billing processes in-app purchases offered by Data Analyst Interview Lab. The application receives the product identifier, purchase token, acknowledgement state and purchase status needed to provide or restore the purchased entitlement. Yani Technologies Inc. does not receive the user’s complete payment-card number.
9. Information we do not collect directly
Data Analyst Interview Lab does not require a name, email address, phone number or Yani Technologies account. It does not request access to contacts, location, photos, files, microphone or camera. We do not sell personal information. If a user contacts support by email, we receive the email address and message solely to answer the request and maintain necessary support records.
10. Retention and user controls
The selected analyst role remains locally until it is replaced, the application data is cleared or the application is uninstalled, subject to Android backup restoration. The reminder values remain locally until the application data is cleared or the application is uninstalled. Session answers, attempts and scores last only for the active application process. Google controls retention of information processed by AdMob, Firebase and Google Play according to its current product settings and policies. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain records and meet legal obligations.
Users can refuse or disable notification permission in Android, open advertising privacy options where offered, reset or delete the advertising identifier, clear local application data or uninstall the application. The application does not create a remote Yani Technologies account or synchronize a cloud practice record.
11. Children
Data Analyst Interview Lab prepares candidates for professional job interviews. It is not designed for children under 13 and contains no child-directed content. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information in a support request may contact us to request its deletion.
